Board of Trustees

The Washington Colony Cemetery District is governed by a three-member Board of Trustees appointed by Fresno County Supervisors (Districts 1 and 4). Trustees are registered voters residing within the District, responsible for setting policies, establishing goals, adopting regulations, and serving as custodians of District property.

Trustees serve staggered four-year terms, act independently from the County, and represent the public interest. Trustees do not receive per diem compensation but receive monthly vision insurance coverage.

Staff Members

• Office Manager: Oversees daily district operations, administration, budgeting, and staff supervision. Handles burial arrangements, financial management, payroll, and general maintenance coordination.

• Groundskeepers (2): Maintain the cemetery grounds, assist with burial services, and support facility upkeep.
